ABOUT
Rap Stories is a documentary series about history of this genre in Russia during the past 20 years. Series` structure consists of 2 parts: first are the interviews with rap-artists, producers and music critics, and the second part are COMPLEX collages with the background voice telling about the developping of rap in Russia
MY JOB
VISUAL LANGUAGE OF THE SERIES IS GRITTY, RAW, LAYERED AND FULL OF TEXTURES AS RAP ITSELF. I CREATED collages in THIS style. I AIMED FOR THE best compositional descisions And metaphoric iLLUSTRATIONS TO reflect AND reveal THE sTORY. I aLso had TO PREPARE MY DESIGNS FOR ANIMATION, THINKING ABOUT ALL THE PHASES OF THE SHOTS WHILE CREATING COLLAGES. AND I ALSO DID A LOT OF research about rap-CULTURE. MY AIM WAS TO CREATE structured collages about rap-artists, representING them in symbols, main albums, atTributes and some brief text information

THESE ARE complicated collage spaces THAT I CREATED according to the plot, with lots of textures, effects, characters, lighting and details
PART 3: HOW
BESIDES COLLAGES ABOUT ARTISTS AND SPACES I CREATED SOME ATMOSPHERIC DESIGNS BASED on BOLD effects. HERE ARE COLLAGES INSPIRED BY GLITCH EFFECT
